So hope to see people taking their last warm boat ride of the season.<br><br>Stone&#8217;s landing boat ramp is under construction and closed this weekend.<br><br>The permanent peers are starting to take shape and look really nice.<br><br>If you are going boating, Martin park, sports&nbsp; core, ice house, and Atwood still have docks in.<br><br>The head of the rock rigotta is this sunday from 7 a m Till&nbsp; 4 p m<br><br>Our town will be visited by hundreds of college Athletes from around the country for this event.<br><br>There is a no wake zone from riverside bridge down to the jefferson street bridge on Sunday until the conclusion of the event<br><br>The sheriff&#8217;s department along with the ski Broncs will be In the area to keep all boats at no wake for the safety of all participants.<br><br>The teams traverse upstream along the west bank to martin park.<br><br>Then they race against the clock, with the start at martin park, and the end at y m c. A.<br><br>I strongly advise all boaters to avoid the area and do all of your boating, north of riverside bridge on sunday.<br><br>To get through the course at no Wake from downtown to Martin park. You can expect a 45 minute travel time.<br><br>The rowers have the right of way and it will be very stressful for the captain To not get in their way.<br><br>Any boats in the course must stay on the west bank.<br><br>You can view the race start at Martin park or anywhere&nbsp; along&nbsp; the sinnissippi bike path.<br><br>The dock is out at burpee, but the dock is still in at the nicholas conservatory.<br><br>There was an adjustment to our dam to try and slow down the current for this event. Because it is a little stronger than normal with last week&#8217;s rain.<br><br>The trees have started to show some color for boaters viewing enjoyment.<br><br>Still, plenty of wildlife along the river also.<br><br>hoo haven&nbsp; update:<br><br>It is with heavy hearts that their resident comorant passed away unexpectedly this week.<br><br>She had the hearts of all the volunteers that worked there with her great personality and friendliness towards volunteers who were taking care of her.<br><br>She was the one who ate all of the minnows, so they are not in need of them as much any more now.<br><br>Her and Charlie, the resident Pelican, were best friends. So I&#8217;m sure Charlie is also heartbroken.<br><br>Pickle and sandy the pelicans update:<br><br>I was able to see them last sunday when I stopped by the trunk or treat event.<br><br>I think they recognized me from my jet ski and didn&#8217;t want to have much to say to me.<br><br>Karen tells me the two sometimes bicker like brother and sister.<br><br>Pickle is about 95&nbsp; percent healed, but it&#8217;s not flapping his wings much yet.<br><br>Sandy will probably be around till spring, waiting for her fly feathers to grow back in.<br><br>The two are eating like kings on fish fillet diet.<br><br>They&#8217;re always looking for donations of fish that do not have bones.<br><br>They also survive on individual donations of $20 that I&#8217;m sure most of us can afford.<br><br>The annual open house for Hoo haven is Sunday. November 8th, from 12 to 3.<br><br>Mark your calendars and please try to attend to learn all about the great things they do to rehab all the residents that they have in their care.<br><br>Many boat owners have put their boat away for the season. So as to not fill up with leaves and wet carpet, when the weather changes.<br><br>Looking at the forecast, this seems to be the last warm weather for a while.<br><br>Tad&#8217;s has a band from 3 to 6 on Saturday and their docks are still in.<br><br>The docks are still in at embassy, suites and market street.
