{"id":710,"date":"2024-11-02T08:18:47","date_gmt":"2024-11-02T14:18:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rockriverhomeowners.org\/?p=710"},"modified":"2024-11-02T08:18:59","modified_gmt":"2024-11-02T14:18:59","slug":"weekend-update-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rockriverhomeowners.org\/index.php\/2024\/11\/02\/weekend-update-6\/","title":{"rendered":"Weekend Update"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Current River temperature 52\u00b0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re one of those procrastinators who still has a boat in the water you&#8217;re in luck.<br \/>The public boat docks are still in but will be coming out this week at the ice House, Martin Park and Harlem bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rock-a-dile north of Riverside bridge received a new coat of paint thanks to my partner in crime Jakie cason.<br \/>Color changing lights were added to match the rockness monster a distant cousin down at Auburn street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>None of us are happy that our summer has come to an end but it&#8217;s just a fact of life in the midwest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will still be several fishermen frequenting the river trying to catch their last fish of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today looks to be the last day to get your boat put away before 3 days of rain sets in and makes the leaves all soggy that have collected inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The older I get the shorter summer seem to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Farmer&#8217;s almanac is calling for La Nina this winter and from what I&#8217;ve seen it looks like snow will be back in the Midwest this winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the torrential rain we received in July shortened our summer a little bit it was still a safe and fun time for River users.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Current River temperature 52\u00b0.
