These cool nights have cooled off our River a little bit.
While I wasn’t happy losing a few days of work this week we definitely needed the 1.5 in of rain that we received.
Current River level at Latham as of right now is about 9 in above drought level so we’re doing good.
It would be a little bit higher if the damn operator at Edgerton had not slammed all of their Gates yesterday dropping water level 1.5 ft at afton.
When I look at what it does to the river level on lake koshkonong it is very minimal.
I will hopefully be attending the board meeting next month with data and requesting answers so that we don’t have to go through this again for another summer.
It looks like a cool boating weather weekend for Winnebago county.
I’m sure there will be many out enjoying our beautiful River with this being the official start of summer.
Please give your boat a thorough once over before installing it this year to make sure you have the necessary equipment.
Also please drive defensively because we’re all getting our boat driving cobwebs out of our system after a long winter.
The ski Bronc will be performing their first show of the season at Shorewood Park so please stay to the West Bank at no wake if you’re going by there tonight.
