If you look at the log that is being polished as it rolls around in the back current, it’s easy to see why dams are dangerous and boaters should stay away from them.
With the lack of rain and reduced boat traffic and algae growth, water clarity is starting to get a lot better.

Hopefully you saw their resident educational Pelican Brandon, who has been called Charlie in the past, playing Catch with Karen.
They are such an amazing group of people we have for our wildlife rehab in our area.
Pickle and sandy the pelicans, along with all the other residents, are loving this warm weather.
Karen said pickle and sandy are running around a lot and flapping their wings, but have not flown away.
Sandy is going to be there for at least three months for her primary feathers that are missing to grow back in.
Pickle is healed, but with as good a food as they get out there. He’s probably not in a hurry to leave.
She says they are eating like kings.
As the weather gets colder in the next month, they will have to be moved inside.

Hopefully everyone can make it out for their november 8th open house to visit all of the wildlife that they care for.
I am hoping to make it downtown Tonight or tomorrow night for a nice dinner by boat.
Tad’s and prairie street docs are still in along with the dock down at water street, which makes access to all the downtown restaurants Just a short, walk away.
