Weekend Update 9/26/25

Current river temperature is 67 degrees

Current river level is 4.7 at latham.

I was quite shocked that Edgerton gave us a little water yesterday.

We have not had rain for so long that the ground has turned to stone at a construction job, we’re doing.

Our green grass has turned to brown in the sun areas.

Thanks to all of your generous donations to our association. The board of directors approved some funds for some more cleanup at p Island.

Woodchuck tree service( Andy Sharp) and my crew made a really good dent this summer at the cleanup that we did at Williams park.

We came in with the barge and spent a day getting rid of the fallen trees by the rope swing..

We also got rid of some trees on the north end beach area.

We were able to remove 2 semi loads of debris.
To make it safer for visitors.

With this bonus week of weather that mother nature is giving us. I hope to see everyone taking advantage of it on the water.

The tripwire is no longer in front of the dam.So be careful if you are downtown boating.

If you were to find yourself with a non running boat, the first thing that needs to be done is an anchor thrown out. So that you don’t get too close to the dam.

I have been elected the river cleanup guy for the next couple of weeks before the.Regatta.

If you see any debris and have a milk jug with string, please tag it for easier removal. When I am out on my jet ski.

Look forward to seeing many boats out on the water this weekend Enjoying winnebago county’s greatest asset.

Please be observant and courteous when out boating. So we all make it back to the dock safe and sound.
