Current river level is 5.7 At lathum.
We were keeping the gates closed at the dam, hoping to dislodge some logs over the spillway.
I even came down with my ski boat over the weekend. Trying to make some large waves to no avail.
The gates were opened some last night to bring us back to spec.
This brought most of the water off of the walkways, going out to the docks at sports core.
The Harlem dock (stones landing) and Martin park dock are now in.
We will be putting in the ice house boat ramp dock in this afternoon.
The debris in the river is pretty sporadic at the moment. So there’s not much to worry about.
The snow melt and rain has brought our river up about 18 inches from where we were last fall.
Pretty much fishermen are the only ones partaking in boating this early in the season.
We are all looking forward to warm sunny days in the not too distant future.
Anytime a boater is out using the river, Make sure you have a fire extinguisher, a paddle and a cell phone.
I do have my Jon Boat in for the season. If anyone finds themselves with engine trouble in need of a tow.
