Current river temperature is 51°.
Current river level is 6 feet at Latham.
Ideal water level. If mother nature would just warm things up a bit for us to go boating.
Drought level is 4 feet at Latham, and no wake level is 8 feet at latham.
With all the rain projected in the next week, i’m sure water levels will be rising a little.
Looks like the sheriff will be making some adjustments to the dam. As needed based on rainfall in our basin.
Mostly fishing boats out on the weekends taking advantage of our the greatest community asset.
Mostly flotsam and jetsam in the river these days, not much big stuff is being unlodged from shore at the current river level.
The good news is, drought has been lifted for northern Illinois and southern wisconsin, so the farmers should be having a good planting season.
The grass has turned green this past week, and the trees are all starting to bud.
Fingers crossed. We don’t get any excessive downpours next week to mess with our tranquil river levels.
Have a great weekend everyone.
